  7. Job Material Planning & Inventory Availability

Request: Allow users to import a complete material list directly into a Job, including the expected quantity needed for each item. Desired Workflow: A user creates a Job and imports or adds the full list of materials and required quantities for that project. Sortly would then compare those requirements against the user's current inventory. This would allow the user to quickly identify: Materials that are currently available Materials that are short or unavailable Quantities that still need to be ordered Overall material readiness for the Job It would also be helpful to provide a Job progress/status indicator based on material availability. For example: Waiting for Materials – specific required items are unavailable 80% Ready – 80% of the required materials are currently available Ready to Start – all required materials are available Customer Value: This would make the Jobs feature more useful for project planning and purchasing by giving users a clear view of whether they have the materials needed to complete each Job and what still needs to be ordered.

  10. Option to make fields required

We have at least half a dozen custom fields that we report on. To make it easier when my team is filling out the custom fields, it would be helpful if they couldn't complete the Item information without filling out all the required fields. Without that stopgap, we miss entering in details and are unable to have accurate reporting.
